Built in the early 80s and left untouched for close to two decades, this bathroom sits at the heart of a busy country home and was overdue for a reset. The toilet wasn’t working properly, water went everywhere, and there simply wasn’t enough room to function with young kids in the house. The new layout makes the most of every inch, with a vanity carrying a built-in sink and deep drawers to keep the benchtop clear.
The bath is now generously sized, which matters when the kids are in it. Big-format stone tiles in soft grey bring warmth without showing every speck of dirt, and they stand up to what a family bathroom copes with daily. A rail shower with a built-in niche adds the polish, underfloor heating handles cold country mornings, and cavity sliders save the swing space a hinged door would have taken. The ceiling was replaced as well.
