This bathroom is small on floor space, so every decision had to earn its place. It was designed for a young family with two kids, and storage came first. The vanity carries arched door detailing and enough drawer space to keep the room clear, with an above-counter sink sitting on a soft grey stone benchtop that wipes down in seconds. Brushed gold runs through the tapware, towel rack and cabinet handles, which is what holds the whole scheme together in a room this size.
The free-standing bath has made bath time considerably easier, but the shower is the piece that lifts the room. It’s framed in brushed gold with a round-arm showerhead and a built-in niche, and it gives a compact family bathroom a boutique-hotel feel it has no right to have. Large grey tiles add depth and stand up to what two kids put a bathroom through.
