This one was built from scratch, added onto the house where there had previously been nothing but dirt. One bathroom was no longer enough for the family, so the decision was made to extend, which is a full build rather than a renovation and outside what a lot of bathroom companies will take on. The client came in with a clear brief: an open walk-in shower, plenty of storage, and a space that stays easy to live with.
Working with our interior designer Amanda, the storage got most of the attention. Floating cabinetry, drawers configured around what actually goes in them, mirror-fronted cabinets, and a narrow end cupboard using up the last of the available width. Instead of a standard niche, a built-in shower shelf was designed to match the rest of the room, and the towel rail sits at the end of the shower within reach. Underfloor heating and a full-length mirror finish it off.
