These two rooms had well and truly reached their limit. One carried a 1950s fit-out layered with a 70s makeover and patched again in the 90s. The other, a tiny ensuite, was barely functional, with an oversized hand basin leaving nowhere to move. After 25 years of making do, the clients called for a complete rethink. Walls were moved, framing was stripped back, and we took on the full scope from floor to ceiling.
The new layout gives both rooms a far more practical flow, with walk-in access to the showers and storage planned around what the family actually keeps in them. Feature tiles chosen by the client became the standout element, positioned with input from our design team. Almost everything was redone, though the original window stayed as a small nod to the past. The build turned up crooked walls and ageing materials, and both bathrooms were finished across ten weeks.
