A Kitchen That Balances Mood, Function and Everyday Ritual

This kitchen renovation was designed for a young professional couple who understood the importance of starting every big day in a beautiful, functional space, with coffee in hand, of course. The goal was to create a kitchen that felt inviting and refined, with clever touches that make everyday life a little easier.

From the moment you enter, the kitchen sets a warm tone. Dark tiles create a moody, grounded backdrop that contrasts beautifully with soft-touch white cabinetry. The Avenza Bianco benchtop by Laminex adds a subtle texture and crisp finish, while feature shelving in Florentine Walnut by Polytec brings warmth and storage to the space. The custom-built shelving also houses the rangehood, seamlessly blending form and function.

One of the standout additions is the servery window, ideal for entertaining and enhancing indoor-outdoor connection. Storage was never an afterthought, with considered inclusions like an oil drawer placed conveniently near the cooktop and a generous pantry finished with Hesket Peak Timber handles for a designer touch.

Working closely with our team, the clients took the opportunity to improve the flow of the kitchen by extending one of the benches. This not only opened the room visually but also made space for additional storage on the reverse side, perfect for larger appliances and cookware.

The result is a modern, elegant kitchen that balances personality with practicality. It is stylish without being showy, tailored without being overly formal, and perfectly suited to a lifestyle built on shared meals, quiet moments, and the occasional dinner party.
