A Mediterranean-Inspired Ensuite with Flow and Warmth
This renovation turned a dated, awkward ensuite into a calm and cohesive space that now feels like a true retreat. The original layout had poor flow, limited light, and an outdated palette that clashed with the rest of the home. The basin was crammed near the doorway, the toilet and shower sat off to the side, and there was carpet underfoot. It was time for a total rework.
The clients had a clear vision from the start: warm tones, Mediterranean touches, and natural texture. Working closely with our interior designer Amanda, the layout was completely transformed. The walk-in robe was reimagined as part of the ensuite, bringing everything into one generous space. The old shower window was removed to allow for a better layout, yet clever use of downlights keeps the room bright and open.
Travertine-look tiles, sandy tones, and soft curves define the space, with arched forms used to carry the character of the home into the bathroom. One of the standout features is the dome wall sconces, chosen instead of a central ceiling light to create a softer, more luxe atmosphere. The wall niche, clean lines, and minimalist lighting plan all help the ensuite feel both modern and timeless.
The walk-in robe has completely changed the way the space functions, offering storage and comfort without compromising on aesthetics. This renovation blends style, practicality, and strong design direction to create an ensuite that feels both indulgent and easy to live in.
