Ensuite in Kangaroo Flat (2025)

Summary

Year Completed: 2025
Location: Kangaroo Flat
Completed Work: Ensuite renovation

Story

Spacious, Bright, and Thoughtfully Reimagined

This ensuite renovation began with an unconventional layout, offering more space than most, but not in a way that made sense for everyday use. The clients saw the potential and were ready to create something that felt more functional, more refined, and unmistakably theirs.

Working closely with our interior designer, Amanda, the layout was transformed to suit the new owners’ needs and lifestyle. The existing footprint allowed for a generous shower recess, designed to feel open and comfortable. The large rainfall showerhead, placed opposite the tapware, creates a seamless experience that avoids the usual dash of cold water, a subtle but smart design move.

Maximising storage was just as important. A custom cupboard behind the shower, curved drawer fronts, and clever integration of powerpoints into the mirrored cabinet all contribute to a cleaner, more user-friendly space. Underfloor heating was another considered inclusion, bringing comfort without clutter.

From selecting the Italian tiles in person to carefully balancing brightness and minimalism through the lighting plan, every detail was curated with care. Bulkheads were measured and accounted for to ensure generous head height in the shower, and all lighting was updated to sit flush with the ceiling, replacing previously low-hung fixtures and opening the room up.

The result is a spacious, elegant ensuite that feels grounded, calm, and beautifully appointed. With excellent project management from Rod and a collaborative design process led by Amanda, the transformation has exceeded expectations and created a space that feels just right, every single day.
