Story

A Personal, Practical Ensuite That Brings Joy Every Day

This ensuite renovation was about more than just upgrading an outdated space. It was part of a bigger journey, reshaping a home to feel like it truly belonged. The previous owners had done well with the floors, carpets, and kitchen, but the ensuite needed to reflect the next chapter. A change in personal circumstance made it the right time to create something fresh, functional, and deeply personal.

The original ensuite felt small and outdated, with a step-in cubicle shower, a low vanity, dated brass fittings, and a general lack of comfort. The new design brings thoughtful, future-focused practicality to the space without losing its warmth. The shower was relocated to improve accessibility, now offering generous walk-in access, room for a seat if needed, and plenty of space to move freely. Every detail, from the layout to the fittings, was chosen with safety, mobility, and everyday ease in mind.

Working closely with our interior designer Amanda was a highlight of the process. Her guidance, patience, and eye for practicality helped shape every aspect, from tile selection and mirror placement to how best to showcase the client’s chosen feature tile in a soft, earthy green. A heated towel rail and striking black fixtures bring a touch of quiet luxury, inspired by hotel-style bathrooms seen on recent travels. The result is a blend of function and beauty, with subtle nods to memories and experiences along the way.

Built on trust, collaboration, and a clear vision, this ensuite isn’t just a beautiful renovation. It’s a space that brings calm and comfort to everyday life, and joy, every single day.
