Warm, Stylish and Uniquely Personal
This bathroom renovation was all about starting fresh and making the space feel truly personal. The goal was to create something warm and functional, while still allowing for the clients’ own sense of style to shine through.
Working closely with our interior designer, Amanda, the project began with a reconfiguration that introduced a second toilet and removed the bath to allow for a larger, more luxurious shower. This opened up the space dramatically, allowing for better flow and a much more practical layout. The new design also placed the mirror and vanity in a far more user-friendly position, improving the space from both a visual and functional perspective.
Every element of the room was carefully considered. Neutral wall tiles provided a clean base, while the reclaimed timber vanity and matching mirror brought in a rustic charm. A unique wallpaper feature, selected with help from the clients’ children, became the hero of the room, adding a splash of colour and personality. A beautiful timber towel ladder and shelf were also integrated to tie everything together.
One standout design touch was the inclusion of a single mismatched tile, chosen deliberately as a nod to the Japanese concept of imperfection bringing good luck. Paired with a faux skylight for soft ambient light, the entire room now feels calm, bright, and inviting.
From the rain shower to the added toilet, the reclaimed finishes to the thoughtful layout, this bathroom is a true reflection of its owners. Stylish, personal, and full of warmth, it is a space that feels completely their own.
