Story

A Thoughtfully Planned Transformation for Everyday Living

This project brought new life to two tired spaces in a family home built in the late 90s. The original bathroom and ensuite hadn’t changed since the house was first built, and it showed. Dated finishes, clunky layouts, and a few too many “why is this here?” moments made both rooms feel smaller and more frustrating than they needed to be. The ensuite was particularly awkward, with a shower door that opened straight into the doorway, making the space feel cramped and disjointed.

The renovation was less about knocking walls down and more about rethinking the flow. With clever planning and design input from the team, layout changes unlocked options the clients hadn’t thought possible, like a double vanity in the ensuite or power points tucked away in the drawers to keep benchtops clutter-free. Removing the bath gave way to a more generous walk-in shower, and the shower niche became one of the most-loved features, finally giving everything a place off the floor.

Neutral tones and modern finishes helped both spaces blend seamlessly into the rest of the home, while thoughtful details like mirrored cabinetry, large-format tiles, and clean lines added a calm, hotel-like feel. It’s modern, practical, and tailored to how the family really lives.

Good planning made the process smooth, and good communication kept it that way. The result is a renovation that’s not just beautiful, but one the clients are proud of and wouldn’t change a thing.
