Story

From Dated and Difficult to Modern and Made-For-Life

These two bathrooms had well and truly reached their limit. One had elements of a 1950s fit-out layered with a 70s makeover and then patched up again in the 90s. The other, a tiny ensuite, was barely functional with an oversized hand basin that left no room to move. After 25 years of making do, the decision was made: it was time for a complete rethink!

Walls were moved, framing was stripped right back, and the team at GOFORTH took on the full scope of the work, from floor to ceiling. The brief was simple: make it modern, make it functional, and make it easier to live with. And that’s exactly what they delivered.

The new layout offers a far more practical flow, with walk-in access to the showers and plenty of thoughtful storage. Feature tiles chosen by the client became a standout element, positioned perfectly with help from the GOFORTH design team. Almost everything was redone, but the original window remained as a small nod to the past.

The build revealed its own challenges, with crooked walls and ageing materials, but the process stayed smooth thanks to consistent site presence and clear communication. Across ten weeks, both bathrooms were completed with care and precision.

The result is a fresh, cohesive update that suits the home’s style and the family’s day-to-day needs. It’s not just a visual transformation. It’s a better way to live, and a team the client now trusts to finish the rest of the house.
